#Corona Effect on AgriBusiness
1.
Farmer producer organisations are making direct suppliers of
fruit, vegetable and other farm related product to the city areas to the
housing societies. Food supply chain is now very important in this crisis and
the farmer to Direct customer supplies has been increased in the #lockdown
period of #coronavirus. Farmer to consumer directly supply.
2.
Farmer producer organisations are allowed to purchase food grains directly from farmers, without (#APMC)
agriculture produce Market Committee and middle man interference. The (#e-NAM)
National agriculture market has been granted a sanction for the whole Nation
and the state States has to take the decision.
3.
#Coronavirus now proved that along with doctors, police,
government official the very important thing what we need is the food grains, vegetables, fruits that is the priority for the human being. It is the
fundamental requirement for living our life and hence the primary requirements is agriculture.
4.
Now the demand for organicfood is going to increase and to retain the immunity power. We need organic food, healthy food, and the junk food habits have to be changed for the immunity to increase. Junk food is very dangerous for our life and these habits to be changed and to be replaced with organic food.
5.
FCI godowns are now full with food grains (rice, wheat etc) and the it can give food security for a whole year to India. It is very good news for India but the farmer behind the food security in India is not to be neglected and priority to be given for rural and agriculture enterprise.
6.
Due to corona effect, the labors working in cities now shifting to
villages. Hence with regards to agriculture the employable policy for
agriculture is to be designed and is to be changed. It is the need of hour for the government to look into the policy and has to interfere the policies which are anti employment to the youth of rural India.
7.
Use of digital tools in
agriculture is increasing now. The scientists are interacting with farmers in
remote villages with the help of online Technology due to Lockdown and social
distancing. The positive impact is that, the meeting between the farmers and
various scientists and Consultants has been arranged through online videos.
8.
Family farmer concept is to
be developed and we have to choose the farmer for supplying household demand
for fruits, vegetable and the required grain for a family. Like a ‘family
doctor’, we have to choose a ‘family farmer’. That is a Win-Win situation. We
will get the fruits, vegetable with lesser prices and the farmer also get a
good price and good value for the product.
9.
There are drastic changes to
happen in the value chain, post pandemic Corona effect. The government has to
change the policies seriously and the whole Food supply Chain and the
revolution in agriculture has to happen.
10.
Government has to focus on the rural economy and the priority
should be given to agriculture sector, for the sustainable economic growth. The
decentralized economy is very important for the whole Indian economy to
flourish in longer run. The farmer has to be kept at the centre stage and
policies to be designed. As farmer has been neglected till date but now we have
to change our focus. His income should
be increased for the real economic growth of the country.
For our humanity, the
policies regarding farming, agriculture and rural has to be revisited. for the
development of the whole economy the agriculture processing industry, farming
community and food processing industries has to be e given priority. It is
required to increase the Rural Employment and to upgrade the income of the
rural youth so that they will not shift to the cities as a labor (Dihadi Majdoor)
